Formentera Island

This island is one of the many, which compose the Balearic group of islands. It occupies 90 square kilometers from Ibiza’s coast on the south east. The inhabitants of this area number 5200 and amaze people with their hospitality and friendliness.

What makes this island quite a paradise is the fact that, you can view the sea from any point and the numerous beautiful beaches, grottos and lonely bays it has. The lonely bays especially are great spots to sit and think without much activity going on around you.

The only port here is at La Savina, which is a village with very interesting typical houses that are white washed. The island’s narrowest part is Las Salinas, whose unique landscape beauty is amazing.

Formentera also has a fortified church surrounded by white beautiful houses, as San Francisco Javier. This will give you a true touch of Spanish typical culture. Visiting beaches such as Playa de Tramuntana and En Baster is recommendable to add a spice into your relaxation endeavor. On the western side of Formetera there are virgin landscapes that have never been touched or tampered by human activities and here you will find a beautiful beach Cala Saona.

There is no other better place to spend your holidays, than being on the beautiful sandy beaches found on Spain’s magnificent islands.
